• Responsible for managing the Lifestyles Department for our 195 community members as well as all building amenities.
• Plan, schedule, implement and evaluate programs, events, trips, activities and social clubs to meet the needs of community members.
• Manage department’s annual budget and capital submissions.
• Perform wellness, fitness, social and cognitive assessments to develop a holistic lifestyles plan for community members.
• Supervise full-time and part-time staff as well as our volunteer program. This requires recruitment strategies, training, scheduling, staff management and payroll submissions.
• Liaison with community groups, partners and agencies to increase community outreach opportunities.

• Centralized 17 facilities within the Recreation Departments by developing programming and training staff to meet the needs of the department and accomplish the City’s strategic priorities.
• Supervised the Fit Kids and Water Safety in-school program. This program reached over 20,000 students annually.
• Supervised both full-time and part-time staff. This included recruitment, training, performance management and scheduling.
• Developed standard operating policies, procedures and practices.
• Conducted short- and long-term financial planning. Supervised annual operating and material budgets.
• Developed training tracking tools for over 3,000 full and part-time staff.

• Provided administration support for adult, adult 55+, aquatics, child & youth, camps, sports and fitness programs across twenty recreation facilities.
• Supervised part-time staff and volunteers and oversaw staff training and development initiatives.
• Established agreements with external service providers ensuring high quality and within budget.
• Utilized CLASS registration, facility bookings, program maintenance and generated reporting on program performance.
• Conducted statistical analysis and market penetration research of recreation programs within the City.
• Worked closely with over 75 internal staff to provide improvements in program and customer service delivery standards.

• Supervised the daily operations of 3 recreation centers, sports fields, playgrounds, splash pads as well as special events.
• Developed, supervised, and implemented tennis lessons, leagues, clinics, and tournaments for over 400 tennis members and citizens within the community.
• Recruited, coached and trained over 30 part-time staff including responsibility for payroll and budget.
• On-call supervisor for 3 recreation centres that included managing part-time staff, full-time unionized operation staff and volunteers.
• Partnered with affiliated minor-sports groups that increased rental revenue and grew programming.
• Worked closely with full-time union parks and operations staff. Managed their roles and division of labour to satisfy collective bargaining agreements.
