My roles consisted of assisting the directors of the organisation, performing administrative duties, curating and creating content for online social media platforms and assisting with technical tasks such as dealing with accreditation forms and other documents.My experience in this position helped strengthen and hone my marketing skills through work on the firm's website and social media accounts such as Instagram and Twitter. Furthermore, this position expanded my knowledge and understanding of the loan market. I, especially, gained valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes of the home loan market, including the workings of mortgages and refinancing.

In this position, I worked closely with the head accountant and accounting team, developing my skills as the internship ran it's course. This role was undertaken right after completing high school and gave me an insight into real world accounting and finance, which was pivotal in helping decide the career path to take.In this role, valuable information was gained in relation to accounting administration, stock reconciliation, invoicing and collection. I was able to apply theoretical knowledge into the real world and learn skills that wasn't taught in the classroom. Furthermore, through working closely with the head accountant I was introduced to helpful concepts such as Lean 6 Sigma and the 5S method which focus on improving efficiency.
