I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Kashmir University and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Analysis from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, where I graduated as the top performer from India’s National Rank 1 institute. I have also qualified GPAT twice with a 98 percentile, showcasing my academic excellence and dedication to pharmaceutical sciences.I have contributed to eight publications, with seven as a co-author and one as the first author. My research interests focus on therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), pharmacogenomics, and PK/PD modeling, reflecting my passion for precision medicine and patient-centric therapeutic strategies.During my M.Pharm, I worked on an LC-MS-based therapeutic drug monitoring of monoclonal antibodies in breast cancer patients (a proof-of-concept study) in collaboration with Batra Hospital and Research Centre. This research, now submitted for publication, provided valuable insights into the clinical applicability of TDM in oncology.In another significant project funded by ICMR and in collaboration with the National Institute of Tuberculosis, I investigated the treatment outcomes, safety, plasma concentrations, and quality of life of MDR-TB patients receiving Bedaquiline therapy. This project highlighted the clinical relevance of pharmacokinetics in improving treatment outcomes for tuberculosis.Additionally, I worked with SKIMS Soura, Kashmir, on a project measuring 6-MP and 6-TG concentrations in ALL patients and assessing TPMT enzyme activity through genomic and proteomic approaches. This study aimed to equip oncologists with pharmacogenomic data to predict drug efficacy and mitigate patient toxicity, advancing personalized cancer therapy.Currently, I am conducting research on the therapeutic drug monitoring and PK/PD modeling of linezolid in Indian MDR-TB patients. This study aims to optimize dosing regimens to improve treatment outcomes and minimize drug-related toxicities, demonstrating the clinical relevance of personalized dosing strategies.In parallel, my PhD focuses on the pharmacogenetic testing of drugs used in MDR TB and translating this data into therapeutic drug monitoring using LC-MS/MS-based proteomics. By bridging the gap between pharmacogenomics and proteomics, my research seeks to address the challenges posed by gene variability in patients suffering from drug toxicities.
