Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
Current● Run projects through all phases of project execution including scope development, cost estimating, equipment procurement, engineering, design, construction management, and equipment commissioning.● Develop strategies for execution, procurement, and construction in an operating facility.● Orchestrated effective communication channels between operations, engineering, construction, and contractor personnel, resulting in streamlined project coordination.● Develop construction work packages and manage construction including supporting work permit and MOC processes.● Overall safety, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management for each project.● Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues with the Contractors as they arise.● Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends, and take action to avoid cost overruns.● Accurate, timely, and effective reporting to the Project Management.● Visibly support risk identification and mitigation throughout the project.● Assess procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specifications, are delivered on time, and are within budget.● Developed and implemented actionable solutions to improve productivity and quality, reduce flow time, and enhance operational efficiency.● Forecasted project-related costs, materials, and labor needs and provided cost-estimation reports to inform decision-makers.● Evaluated project needs to assess expenses, allocate resources, and define milestones and timelines.● Review engineering and design documents for errors and omissions and prepare Engineering Site Instructions (ESI’s) for correction.● Implement and ensure site change management processes run effectively in conjunction with the site and contracts managers.● Check, inspect, and test completed project work and arrange appropriate commissioning inspections and tests. Prepare Punch Lists and initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates.
