Participate in community and campus committees such as the MSUM Veterans Committee, The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Committee and the Wellness Committee. Coordinate with campus officials to bring events to campus in support of veterans. Present and instruct veterans education benefits to the community, veterans service organizations and Colleges and Universities. Determine eligibility of applicants for the MN Post 9/11Service Bonus, review submitted evidence, and make final decisions that affirm eligibility or request more evidence for further development. Establish eligibility of applicants for the MN GI Bill by applying rules, laws, and regulations based on their application and submitted supporting documentation. Evaluate and consider evidence provided using sound judgment with reasoning for approval or denial of application. Participated in a team to test and develop a new system (VATS) to process MN GI Bill applications.
