Alex Mendes is currently working as Creative Marketing Director at Disney Brazil, leading the in-house agency with a nearly 50-member team. In this role, he oversees creative initiatives for all lines of business (LOBs) within the company, including Streaming (Disney+ and Star+), Theatrical (Disney Studios and 20th Century), Creative Brand Solutions (Franchise, Streaming and Tv - ESPN), Events, Integrated, and CPGP. His work involves collaborating with iconic global brands such as Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic, Star, and ESPN.With over 13 years of experience as a C-level executive, Alex previously worked as Creative Director for Family Pilar brands at Disney Latin America, served as the former Executive Creative Director for National Geographic Partners in Latin America and held the same position at Fox Sports Latin America. Notably, he played a key role in the launch of Fox Sports in Brazil in 2012. He spearheaded campaigns for renowned brands like National Geographic, Fox Sports and Disney across the continent.Alex's accomplishments extend beyond his professional roles. He was named Cannes Young Creative Brazil in 2009, represented Brazil in the Cannes Lions Film YOUNG LIONS competition in France, he also was selected to be discussing new ideas for a better word at the ONU's Forum: One Young World in Zurich in 2011 and was recognized by the International Journal of Media Marketing, Promotion and Design "Brief" Magazine, one of the "Creatives to Watch under 30 years" in 2012.In 2017, Alex served as the Jury President for Promax BDA Latin America. He has spoken at events such as Campus Party Argentina 2018, Pixel Show 2018, and Campus Party Brazil 2019. Additionally, he served as a juror for the 2021 Brasil Design Awards.
