As a controls engineer at Trane I created controls drawings for the installation and modification of new and existing HVAC and other building equipment. In the creation of these drawings I reviewed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specifications and selected a wide range of appropriate end devices to meet project requirements in a multitude of standard and specialized environments. During my time with Godby Heating Plumbing and Electrical I performed calculations and created engineering documents for business and residential heating and plumbing applications. To meet these objectives I computed heat load calculations, evaluated design criteria, and created parts lists for installation. These duties also included creating CAD drawings for architectural stamps, visiting job sites, and organization of job materials. Throughout my time at Godby I helped to streamline the logging of job cost estimates, developed a system to standardize calculation of parts costs, and implemented a system to enhance company profits by determining the best jobs for the company to bid.
