I'm Aarnav Gautam, a second-year mechanical engineering honors student at the University of Florida. For the entirety of my educational experience, I've been immersed in engineering programs, sparking my passion for the field. As an Eagle Scout, I bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills. Currently, I'm working as an engineer for Dream Team Engineering, captaining the Cardiac Data Device team to develop a wearable device to track important vitals, and working on the Caudal Block team to develop a mixed-reality simulation for the caudal block surgery. Furthermore, I'm a researcher at the Game-based Learning and Digital Experiences Lab to develop a virtual reality game to teach statics concepts. I'm also a Resident Assistant at Honors Village, Communications Lead for Engineers Without Borders Nepal, PR Co-Director for the Freshman Leadership Engineering Group, and the Fraternal Education Officer and a co-founder for the UF Chapter of Epsilon Tau Pi, a service fraternity exclusive to Eagle Scouts. In the past, I also worked on the ASM Research Design Team, working to create a robot to detect volatile concentrations from lunar regolith. In these positions, I've leveraged a variety of skills, from delegation and communication to programming and design, using both soft skills and technical skills to lead and learn.
