CurrentWorking under the Principle Investigator Dr. Jane Flinn who focuses on rodent studies involving the cognitive and behavioral effects of Alzheimer's Disease and Traumatic Brain Injury. Responsibilities include animal inspection; handling, examining for injury, behavioral/cognitive tests; nesting, circadian rhythm, open field maze, elevated zero maze, Morris water maze, Barnes maze, fear conditioning, and morphological tests; histology, IHC, western blot, and zinpyr-1.Leader of project on the effects of chronic zinc supplementation on the behavior and tauopathy of an Alzheimer’s Disease mouse model containing the APOE4 allele. Responsibilities include team leadership, training new research assistants on various procedures, and scheduling.
