I began my career as a Mechanical Fitter in the Manufacturing, Mining, Oil and Gas sector. Here I worked with both large and small organizations across Australia, whilst also studying a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering. I develop a broad range of skills and experience which I successfully translated into my own business, First Things First Coffee which I co-founded in 2015.Although initially this change in career field may seem non conventional, the skill crossover is a key to our success as an organization. The implementation of industrial manufacturing techniques and operating standards has lead us to grow from a single outlet, to a multi-store chain, which holds a significant presence in the Adelaide coffee scene.I am a strong advocate of developing cross skills, and challenging how one approaches an otherwise traditional methodology just because 'it's how its always been done'.
