Years work internship spent at Bord Bia - Irish Food Board. Position held was IT Support Analyst and Web Design / implementation. Working in a busy environment on the IT helpdesk providing IT support to onsite and oversea users. My responsibility was to monitor, prioritise and resolve incident tickets working within SLA’s which came into the helpdesk. Communicating with users via phone, email, in person and remote control into user’s machines. I had to undertake administrative tasks and I hold first-hand experience working with Active Directory, Outlook Exchange server, Windows servers 2003/2008/2010, Windows 7 OS and Macintosh OS. Some responsibilities and duties of the role were as follows:• Managing incident tickets (creating, prioritising, assigning, and updating) • Providing first hand support to users with general IT problems• Printing services • IT presentation set ups• New user accounts set up• Office set ups and desk moves• LAN/WAN settings• Patching network ports and caballing• Laptop and Desktop builds including rebuild of old machines (HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, iMacs)• Monitoring hardware inventory including loans to users such as laptops, chargers, clickers etc• Installation of software including encryption Sophos and Symantec endpoint protection• Updating and creation of knowledge help documentation• Training users on software and programs such as Citrix• Training up new starters which was due to take my place• Maintaining and updating bordbia.ie website• Image editing and optimization
