Undertook my 6 month placement with Eaton Vance remotely from home, where I collaborated with employees from both the London and Boston office. I gained invaluable experience from my time with Eaton Vance under challenging conditions, where I was exposed to the technical side of the business.Under the new era of remote working, I became accustomed to collaborating with team members over MS Teams and Zoom, where I was able to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across different time zones. My main area of focus was internal mobile and web applications, where I worked on numerous projects to enhance the functionality of these applications. I also worked on administration tasks for the London office. The main software i used was Outsystems, SQL Server and Jira. My knowledge and competence of these technologies increased substantially over the course of my internship.- Enhanced the functionality of the mWholesaler mobile application where I added sorting and filter logic which enabled users to reach desired information in a timely fashion.- Created an input wizard from scratch which outputted the necessary SQL statements required to create a new myList (essentially a report that gets loaded from a database table) - Collaborated with Boston based interns on a project to have one solitary definition of a firm across the different CRM databases used by the company. I was tasked on creating the UI in Ousystems, where I developed a web application from scratch. This enabled the business users to create a new firm and associate any number of firms to that 'master' firm.I also worked extensively with Tableau during my time in Eaton Vance, creating visual dashboards and reports for various business units within the company. I worked with database connections in Tableau and also API connections, with regards to connecting to Jira software.I became AWS certified during my time with Eaton Vance, completing the Cloud Practitioner exam (CCP).
