Service Reliability Engineering group provides platform support and DevOps to different development groups in the organization. Includes RHEL Administration, Ansible Tower automation, gitlab, Service Now automation, bash scripting, ensuring systems are compliant with vendor security patches, ancillary patches and hotfix patches. Tools used by the developers and supported by the group through out the life cycle of the applications include Tibco BW and BE, Java, Java Springboot, .net IIS applications, Broadcomm Layer 7 API appliances, and Tomcat. We also ensure the applications and development groups are inbounds of organization compliance and regulatory policies.

Intel (RedHat Linux and Windows) Server administration on a team of five administrators supporting 400+ virtual VMWare (both ESXi and ESX) hosts with Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and RedHat EL4 to EL6 guests, along with physical Dell and HP servers. Lead for several pseries frames consisting of multiple LPARS for a large health care client. This includes new deployments and day to day operations of the Operating System while responding to Sybase DBA's requests. Responsibility for all other pieces of UNIX (primarily LINUX) infrastructure that ranged from customer installations to a mail relay. Shared responsibility for the enterprise backup and tape library system that supported multiple clients.Implemented several CENTOS (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) based systems for trending of AIX system resources with cacti and for syslog capturing of network gear using ryslog, mysql, and phplogcon. Customized phplogcon and wrote customized web based perl reporting tools interfacing with the monitorware schema mysql database.Rewrote kron shell scripts as needed for new AIX roll out/upgrade.Deployed several new LPARS in core application upgrade. Implemeted indivdual user accounts for DBA's and enforced password rules. Reviewed, negotiated and implemented patching.Created and made much needed documentation improvementsGained sendmail and postfix exposure.

Support, monitor, and respond to issues with production and mixed vmware development environments for Synacor Platforms with a focus on open source backup solutions, DNS and the development environment day to day operations. Monitor and resond to brute force attacks on the development network. Synacor is a CENTOS (Red Hat Enterprise) Linux shop using IBM xseries and blades as a platform. Also development and maintenance of BASH shell scripts, keeping packages up2date with upgrades as needed. Scripted various development environment tasks such as account creation. Implementation of changes to php configuration and apache on development cluster as well as production customer clusters.

Top responsibilities were Tivoli Storage Manager disk and tape SAN (IBM AIX Platform Solution), three EMC Clariion CX700's and a centera. EMC branded Brocade silkworm switches. This provided local device connection for both Storage from the Clariions (AIX LVM was used to mirror disk from both arrays for DR) and a 3584 Tape Library at each site. LTO generation 3 fibre channel tape drives provided both on site and off site copies. DVD-RAM disc was burned with mkcd (mksysb for DVD's) of the rootvg with an mail to operations for success and removal for transport off site in a rotation. All other logical volumes were raw and either transient data or backed via the application (TSM). Responsible for keeping both Tivoli Storage Manager at a supported revision as well as applying PTF's for the O/S. Also for AIX fixes I worked with the LIS group to backup the data and O/S and to interfacing with their vendor for similar tasks. In relation to the LIS group support for SAN storage was provided. This included the HBA's themselves, firmware levels, and AIX drivers.Maintained a consultant provided a perl script that tailed the TSM application log and mailed on certain TSM event/error codes, this required some care and feeding as well especially with changes as the application was upgraded.Most work was done through the command line but the GUI administrative for TSM was installed with a major change in TSM 5.3.For the three clariion cx700's I installed disk, provisioned the raw disk, and assigned LUNS to devices while managing capacity and reporting usage to management. This also included zoning and maintenance of the Brocade based fabrics. Mirroring between the site of LUNS was also implemented and managed via MirrorView. Managed Clariion code upgrades.With all of the above still assisted the AS/400 lead with Client Access express and remote output queue printing.Responsible for variety of systems older hardware platforms, AIX,

Wide range of duties and responsibilities. Support and Administration of Operating System and Hardware of AIX and Sun Solaris UNIX systems. Along with daily operations of applications on these platforms ranging from BIND/DHCP to Informix databases. Implementation and Administration of IBM TSM database on a SAN platform with eighty plus server clients. Second level user support in a Windows desktop and Netware NOS environment.Assisted with PTF implications and version changes of Client Access Express and the desktop community.Developed guidelines for remote output queue usage and *LAN type device printing for the AS/400 analysts. Targets for print were AXIS print servers and an IBM infoprint 3130 with both TCP/IP and TwinAx connections.Review, Order and Apply PTF's (for a six month period) for OS/400. First level support for the hospital user base in a role of off hours support, this included working with devices such as terminals and printers physically in the OS/400 environment. Also occasional support of a fledgling Novell / PC Network.First level hands and eyes for Programmer Analysts during the off hours.Run CL programs based on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules.
