Next, I strengthened our marketing efforts by increasing our trade show presence in the Midwest and Canada and running ads on the Golf Channel, during Tigers baseball games, and on CBS Golf in Michigan. Lastly, I grew our online presence with an updated website, a broader social media presence, and through search engine optimization. These efforts paid off, taking Garland Lodge from $950,000 in group sales and $2.5 million in resort sales in 2014 to $3.5 million in group sales and over $8 million in resort sales in 2019. Additionally, I brought our TripAdvisor score from 3 to 4 stars, doubled the size of our sales staff, and ultimately rescued Garland Lodge from going out of business.
