About Aaron H.

I am a curious, imaginative, and dedicated researcher dedicated to social justice, advocacy, and policy looking for meaningful employment that uses my skills and experiences to create a more just world. For the past 15 years I have developed my qualitative and quantitative research skills to better understand the world around me. My experiences have taught me how to turn complex ideas into deliverable outcomes that are accessible to a wide audience. This can be seen through my ability to:• Aligned divergent viewpoints around common goals to execute long-term goals that resulted in 6 grants including a $10,000 grant from the Humanities Truck at American University. • Manage multiple and diverse projects that generated 2 peer-reviewed articles, 1 book chapter, and 1 technical report.• Communicate complex ideas to a wide audience demonstrated by 12 professional conference presentations, 7 town hall and panel discussions, 5 opinion pieces, and numerous media appearances.I hope to use my project management, public speaking, and balancing stakeholder interest skills to help organizations dedicated to social and racial justice. My academic training has taught me the importance of organization and time management while strengthening my ability to work independently. My advocacy work highlights my ability to recognize the strengths of my team to delegate work and grow our capacity while also growing my leadership skills and confidence to reduce overall workload.I also can adapt well to fit a company’s changing needs as demonstrated by my strong communication skills and laidback, yet highly motivated and dedicated personality. My academic and advocacy work would make me a great addition to many teams. As an artist and proud plant parent, I can offer creative, innovated, and precise energy to the company, the team, and the office.aaronhowe90@gmail.com
