I am a senior development engineer at Eloque working within the structural analytics team transforming measured field data to useable structural health monitoring insights.I graduated with a bachelor of engineering degree in 2006 before joining Opus International Consultants transportation team undertaking the design of various traffic safety schemes, traffic modelling and surveys.Transferred to the Auckland Civil Structures Team in late 2007 and was involved in the civil and structural design for various projects including housing developments, railway stations, earthquake damage assessments, retaining walls, signs, boardwalks, and detailed analysis and strengthening of buildings. While working full time I completed a Masters in Engineering Studies (Construction Management) in 2011.In August 2015 I moved to the Opus London office to take up the role of bridge engineer carrying out Network Rail bridge assessments, structural inspections, and lineside civils design before working in Hertfordshire County Council structures team carrying out structural review and assessment of their bridge stock. I also used asset data to develop prioritisation of asset review and inspection and created applications using computer vision to automatically detect structural defects and invasive plant species.In September 2019 I moved to Melbourne where I have carried out structural inspection and assessment of rail bridges.I am proficient in python programming with an interest in data science, machine learning (neural networks and deep learning in particular) and artificial intelligence. Proficient in the use of Tensorflow, Keras, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn and Matplotlib. Able to create neural networks for regression, classification, computer vision, natural language processing and reinforcement learning.I completed a Udacity Nanodegree in Deep Learning in 2018.
