Director of Maintenance (DOM) is in charge of organizing and conducting company maintenance operations, supervising, training, and coordinating scheduling of other maintenance personnel per FAR part 91 and 135 guidelines in support of Department of Defense contract. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in addition to daily flight operations launch and recovery of aircraft primarily located at Pope Army Air Field, North Carolina. DOM is responsible for recruiting and recommending any additionally needed maintenance personnel. Aircraft supported are a militarized version of the Cessna 337 Skymaster designated as an O-2A which is capable of employing forward firing 2.75" rockets, additionally a modified version of the Australian Jabiru J250 series configured as the Multi Mission Aircraft (MMA). The MMA has been modified to carry an intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) package that includes moving map software integrated with real time electro optical (EO)and infrared (IR) imaging cameras as well as military multi band tactical radios. DOM also provides TDY support of aircraft and aircraft operations typically 6-8 times annually with trips lasting 4 to 14 days. Locations may be in the vicinity of Pope AAF, or anywhere in the Continental United States or as directed by the company. DOM performs routine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft, ISR and weapons delivery equipment not maintained by the government. Unscheduled and scheduled maintenance compliance record keeping is performed by work order generation using N number to included a detailed time and part cost tracking for budgetary reporting broken down per each aircraft tail number.
