For the best part of the last 20 years I have been employed in a leadership and management role within the New Zealand Aviation community. From 2003 until 2019 I was a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and more recently an employee of Air New Zealand. Throughout this time I have had significant involvement in planning, co-coordinating, conducting and debriefing aviation related operations. I have been required to operated within a strict safety management systems framework and risk assessment has been an ongoing aspect of all operations. As I have advanced through the system I have been given greater responsibility including training and mentoring others and responsibility for multiple direct reports. I consider myself a dedicated, hard working individual with a sense of detail and an ability to see and get the best out of people.
