Aaron is a Partner at MinterEllisonRuddWatts (MERW) in New Zealand. Aaron represents clients in litigation and investigations, and assists with strategic advice, across a range of areas. He has particular expertise in trial and appellate advocacy, white collar criminal and regulatory investigations, employment law/health & safety, and in sport. Aaron advises clients in New Zealand, Australia and around the world. Aaron is an experienced advocate, and has argued cases in all of New Zealand’s main courts (including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of New Zealand), along with numerous tribunals. He has worked with leading counsel in the UK, United States and Asia on a number of cross-border white collar criminal matters. He regularly advises a range of sports organisations and athletes on matters of sports integrity in New Zealand and overseas.Formerly ‘Rudd Watts & Stone’, MERW is an independent law firm, with roots back to the 1880s, and which for the last 30+ years has worked closely with leading Australian law firm MinterEllison.
