As a life-long problem solving enthusiast, I chose to pursue academic avenues that emphasized critical thinking and finding optimal solutions. With this mindset, I graduated from Baylor University in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration and I recently graduated from Southern Methodist University with a M.S. in Operations Research, with a concentration in optimization.Through my master's coursework, I have experience formulating a multitude of different mathematical models using the AMPL coding language to optimally solve problems that include things such production planning, scheduling, and network flows. I also have some experience in data science (both in the field and in a classroom setting), whether that be actually exploring the data to identify trends or patterns, presenting the info found from the data using Tableau, or writing up a report to share the findings with stakeholders. I've had a number of roles working in the education industry, which has helped me to develop a good number of "soft" skills, such as excellent communication, teamwork, team building, and team management skills. I'm a hard worker, and someone who goes above and beyond what is expected to ensure that I can provide the most value to whatever position I am currently in. If there is something that I don't know, I will do whatever it takes to figure it out and find ways to constantly make myself a more valuable asset to my employer.
