I work with student-groups to set up, plan and develop opportunities to ensure that students have a great extra and co-curricular experience at our university. In my position I develop and grow existing opportunities and work for students to trial new activities or groups; raise membership levels and increase student involvement in the Union.In my time at the union, I work with our satellite campus students to ensure they feel part of the Staffordshire experienceI assist and work with student groups and external agencies to deliver high quality and bespoke taster sessions as a part of induction and throughout the academic year. As a coordinator I facilitate and effectively administer the delivery of student groups which include, sports, societies, and student media.I work with Student Groups and Governing Bodies to ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met and best practice is adhered to for all our student opportunities.In the team I support the delivery of events and activities that support student engagement including but not limited to activity recruitment events and awards and recognition events.At the union I work to ensure high quality student groups and communities through development and delivery of recognized quality marks.In the engagement team we work to make sure that those students participating in any activity feel they have gained a positive experience and impact of being a member of the Union.In my day-to-day activity I carry out any other task as requested in support of the Student Engagement department or wider union objectives.I ensure that confidential data relating to our members is stored securely and managed in line with the Unions Data Protection Charter, particular in relation to personal data of members.
