I worked with 2 other buyers to manage over $42 million in retail business across 7 hard-line departments and over 160 brands. I developed an extensive, technical knowledgebase and used that to contribute to the growth of most departments seeing over 15% deltas in my first year. We effectively worked to meet year end KPIs, including inventory and margins determined by our OTB, planners and ownership (Walmart/Dicks Sporting Goods). A significant focus of mine was on our climbing department, of which I grew most brands over 20% in top line volume over the course of my tenure. Writing preseason purchase orders, communicating with vendors/suppliers, perfecting e-commerce content and assortments, tracking in-stocks and product turn were some of my key daily functions. I also worked closely with our private brand team on new product launches and collaborative, creative meetings. I worked alongside our visual merchandiser and marketing teams to launch multiple products and ensure effective presentation in-store and online. I worked cross-functionally with our Photo Team aiding in the success of 3 separate, seasonal photoshoots. I negotiated with vendors as issues with POs arose, or prior to, to establish terms, discounts and reconciliation. I owned the categories I bought and took a multi-faceted approach to drive business where possible in tough market conditions.

I worked closely with Bill to ensure client satisfaction on numerous programs and projects. Our primary clients were Ford Motor Company and Lincoln. Some of my daily functions included marketing research, excel analytics, creative strategy and copywriting. I used an obtained a broad range of skills as we were working on many different projects and across multiple teams. My internship transitioned into a full time position aiding in the production of an annual Ford Fleet dealer event with over 900 attendees and numerous Ford executives.
