I use Solidworks Composer (3Dvia) to create 3D line art from CAD drawings, then I use Adobe Illustrator to clean up the drawings and create other artwork to support the manual. I was responsible for introducing FPV to Horizon Hobby, and during that time I was able to see several projects through from proof of concept to a completed product. I also supported the purchasing team to bring FPV products into the product line, and worked with factories in China to bring proprietary products to market. In addition to working on numerous other projects to support the FPV segment, I developed an integrated feature in Spektrum FPV headsets (wireless headtracking) which shipped in two generations of Spektrum FPV headsets (video goggles), and helped bring the first ultra micro camera/video transmitter to market. The VA1100 was the first widely available camera built to support indoor FPV, which led to the popularity of "Tiny Whoop" indoor racing.The Focal and Focal DVR headsets included wireless headtracking that is fully integrated into the Spektrum wireless trainer system. In addition to being the only RC system to integrate wireless headtracking, the system supported model specific setup requirements to support headtracking that was not found anywhere else. It was my vision to develop the third piece of the puzzle with integrated features on the hardware side. Due to outside factors that part of the system was never completed.I had a basic concept for frequency control from the RC controller, but was excited to support a better concept from a co-worker on our engineering team which was more robust and feature rich. The team integrated a method of controlling the video transmitter frequency into Spektrum RC systems. That feature was included in several products which were brought to market. Show less
