I worked as a counselor and lifeguard at Camp Ramah Darom for three summers. My positions changed each year. My first year I was a lifeguard at both the pool and lake. When I was not helping with the aquatics program I assisted in a bunk of eighth graders first session and sixth graders second session. In 2014, I lead a water-skiing program for two months. I successfully taught 20 individuals how to ski. Balancing my time between my responsibilities to the aquatics program and to my campers was a challenge, but by the end of the summer I had helped facilitate a rewarding summer for my skiers and my campers.The summer of 2015, I worked as the Aquatics Director at Ramah Darom. I managed a staff of 15 lifeguards. I oversaw both the pool and lakefront, and all of their special programs:swim classes, water sports, paddle boarding, boating, and water-skiing. I organized shifts, days off, and trips outside of camp that required lifeguards. Show less
