I wasn’t always a technical person. Even though I used computers a lot for school and daily life, it wasn't until my junior year of high school that I really became interested in how they work. I started with opening my own computer, and seeing what parts I could name, and what I could not. From there, my first upgrade was adding an SSD and using it as my main storage drive. This began my pathway into computers and IT.My interests grew, and my training at Year Up sharpened my skills in Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as computer hardware and other technical and professional skills. This training prepared me for a corporate internship, which eventually led to my current position as a Technical Product Analyst.
