• Designed workflow of a new Avid Interplay system to replace previous Unity. Coordinated with all departments to construct a system that maintained familiarity of workflow. Integrated folder based structure.
• Ongoing training of editors and producers in use of the system
• Upkeep of ISIS/Interplay, involving regular Media indexer reboots, health checks, and troubleshooting

Duties include recording shows, ingesting material, maintaining server (ISIS w/ Interplay, plus backup drives), creating physical backups of media from the server on XDCam, compiling backups of field shoots, and organizing project file structures.

This was actually two seperate periods of employment during the stated time. I worked first as an assistant editor in the News Magazines department, then in the SMAG (Systems Maintenance and Administration Group) as a studio engineer, dismantling studios and control rooms no longer in use for filming.

Another two stints - one from May '05 until 2007, working from 2005-2006 as an assistant editor, finalizing sequences for air before switching to content screening in the Network Operations Center. I left for another position in 2007, but was re-hired in 2008 to resume content screening for USA/Bravo/SciFi, which I did until January 2010.
