I specialize in healthcare, home care, long-term care, and care support organizations, offering keynote speeches, workshops, seminars, workforce development, focus group facilitation, executive coaching, and teambuilding projects. I serve organizations throughout the United States and internationally.

Owned two Home Instead Senior Care franchises located in Virginia & West Virginia. Led company growth to reach a staff size of 390 employees located in 9 counties across 3,000 square miles. Select Accomplishments• Rebuilt entire infrastructure from top to bottom, including overhauling organizational design to development of new revenue streams, technology systems, and staffing regulations.• Achieved record-breaking revenues year over year in all consecutive years of ownership. Consistently recognized and ranked among the highest performing Home Instead owners in entire network. • Advocated the development of franchise network growth across 17 global countries. Advised franchisor’s senior leadership team on global growth strategies, innovation, and research opportunities. • Designed and conducted original academic research within the industry on factors affecting caregiver commitment; presented findings in various industry conferences and meetings. • Successfully sold the business in August 2017.

Sustained startup efforts at a firm commoditizing academic research to use an evidence-based approach, rooted in applied gerontology, to target effective supports for family caregivers.

Recruited for national leadership role to turn around financial misuse within $300 billion dollar Medicaid program impacting 80 million recipients. Managed division's administrative functions with emphasis in operations, actionable insights, administrative policies and reporting; oversaw audits and productivity for 200+ field team in implementing new federal regulations across every state.

Promoted to new division to provide leadership and technical direction promoting the fiscal integrity of Medicaid program. Recruited to turnaround numerous bureaucratic and administrative challenges; completely analyzed state Medicaid financing practices to identify and correct improprieties; led agency-wide expansion efforts with team of 100+ auditors in 50 states; presented at national conferences.

Provided operational oversight and leadership to division charged with ensuring Medicaid coverage and payment for non-institutional services. This included 10+ programs including personal care services, physician and pharmacy services, breast and cervical cancer programs, and rural health centers.

Selected to serve as “right hand” to political appointee. Worked with director in managing Medicaid, SCHIP and nursing home survey and certification programs; consulted on policy evaluation, program analysis and agency impacts; worked across agencies and divisions to provide strategic guidance.

First staff member hired to lead new Agency effort planning, implementing, and evaluating national health care programs for people with disabilities. Developed national disability health policy; created and managed national technical assistance partnerships; managed the application, review, negotiation, award, and oversight processes for millions in Federal grants; managed national research & evaluation projects; served on interagency teams for planning/implementation across Federal and State agencies.

Responsible for managing the Agency’s EEO and civil rights programs. Duties included: developing, implementing, and evaluating the office’s strategic plan; evaluating and writing Agency-wide policies and procedures; preparing legally binding Agency decisions, as well as studies, papers, and memoranda for top executives; creating and implementing Agency hiring initiatives for targeted populations; procurement of contracted services.

Investigated, analyzed, negotiated, and conciliated charges of employment discrimination in private and public sectors; served on the Vice Chairman’s national task force on EEOC’s goals and objectives; conducted interviews; gathered and analyzed documentary and testimonial evidence; wrote Agency findings and negotiated settlements; presented training seminars; implemented local media campaign.

Ensured compliance with employment laws and company personnel policies; investigated and resolved internal and external complaints; wrote reports and recommendations on cases for top executives; developed and implemented strategic corporate-wide diversity programs; trained managers. Supported consumer finance subsidiary in joint venture with Mexican bank.
