About Aaron Cheung

My current role is Client Engagement Officer in the International Transprency team at the ATO, my previous roles included Policy and Design Officer in Policy and Legislation team, Compliance Officer in Small Business and Advice Officer in the Excise Tax department of the ATO. I was previously the Senior Customer Service Specialist at the Bank of Melbourne, assisting our customers with financial enquiries, while supporting our Customer Services Officers with closing business opportunities. I also assisted and supported our Lending Mangers, Relationship Managers and Financial Planners by helping customers who need financial advice or products. I also assisted the Branch Manager in further development and execution of the branch operations and brand-awareness to further develop potential business opportunities. I was at Advantech as a Team Supervisor; overseeing a team of regional Account Managers, while supporting our Key Account Managers. I was responsible for implementing various internal, external programs and initiatives, creating growth within the team and organisation by over 10% in 2014. Prior to my involvement at Advantech, I’ve was tutoring at a VCE level and taught undergraduate students in the Chemical and General Engineering stream at The University of Melbourne with various theoretical and practical tutorial/workshop sessions. I was working at CSIRO to provide further research in increase the yield of mineral flotation devices.I have a very passionate and enthusiastic personality and will apply a high level of commitment to my work and have also enjoyed leading teams, ensuring that high performance standards are set along with goals that stretch and develop their capabilities.
