Having been in the Air Force since 2012, I have been able to gain a lot of experience in many ways. From the beginning of my Air Force career up to now, I have enjoyed being in various leadership roles commensurate with my experience.As of today, I have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the future officers of the Air Force aiding cadets as their Academy Military Trainer.Leaning forward to the next chapter of my life, I look forward to beginning to look for opportunities to join the Supply Chain Management industry as a civilian.Here are some examples of skills I bring with me as I transition:EXPERIENCE IN INDUSTRYMy years in a Transportation career field in the Air Force aided my understanding of how Transportation plays a huge role in the overall picture of Supply Chain Management. Having been in that role, it has inspired me to pursue a BS in Logistics & Supply Chain Management. SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCEAs I progressed through my career, I was charged with leading numerous small groups, as a technical skills instructor, and large teams, as a Transportation Operations Manager, to a variety of winning solutions. Each of the positions I have held has grown my communication skills, organization skills, and ultimately, my leadership abilities.NETWORKINGOnce you join the Air Force, you consistently build connections all throughout your career. Some of these people you may have never known personally but, you share the experience of the Air Force, nonetheless. I have learned through my time in the Air Force, networking is invaluable, and I look forward to leveraging my networking talents in the civilian sector.I look forward to connecting with you and learning more about how I can be an asset to the Supply Chain industry.
