I am a transitioning military member set to retire summer 2023 after 20 years in the US Air Force. I have just entered the construction industry with Turner Construction as I strongly believe in pushing technological boundaries of new and improved infrastructure.I spent 15 years of my service leading people and managing processes. These soft skills are where my strengths lie. I have hosted over a handful working groups of 40 people or more (maxing out at 140) while leading planning groups of five to seven workers. I have public speaking experience in the form of briefing working groups and pre-deployment training for multiple flying squadrons. Further, I worked in multinational environments both in the UK and under NATO. One of the most rewarding experiences of my career was gaining cross cultural competence and working with diverse groups of people. It was a wonderful eye opener. I speak two foreign languages in Farsi (Persian) and Dari (Afghan); I would label my abilities in those languages as working competency - not business fluent.I worked the following positions during my service: Executive-Level Administrative Support within NATO, Deputy Courier Coordinator within NATO, Tactics Analysis Team Director within US Air Force, and Near-Real Time Intelligence Team Lead within US Air Force in conjunction with UK Royal Air Force.
