As the Director of Marketing Communications , I am responsible for the development and implementation of a fully integrated marketing and communication plan to support the strategic vision of AJAC’s aerospace and advanced manufacturing apprenticeship programs, pre-apprenticeship programs and K-12 initiatives for workforce development. I work closely with over 325 aerospace and advanced manufacturing companies, workforce development centers, community and technical colleges, high schools, Washington State Labor and Industries and other workforce entities to ensure Washington State retains its legacy at the aerospace hub of the world.Prior to my work with AJAC, I completed a four month marketing internship at Nyhus Communications, a strategic and innovative communication firm located in Seattle. My role at Nyhus was centered on internal and external marketing initiatives -- working closely with account executives in both the marketing and public relations department. Internally, I helped drive the company’s social media presence via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. I updated the Nyhus blog with announcements, interviews, and thought-leadership editorials. Externally, I worked hands-on with the marketing client lead to ensure all media-buys we in conjunction with our recommendations.
