I'm currently working on the Azure Compute team as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft. We’re managing and building the complex datacenter infrastructure of PilotFish that Azure is built on top of. Outside of tech, I really enjoy sweet potatoes, exploring cities and nature, and dodgeball (not necessarily in that order.)Check out my website! aaronfox.meI'm too attached to my old bio to remove it below:I'm currently a freshly graduated Computer Engineering and Computer Science student from the University of Louisville who is planning to graduate with my MEng in CECS by May of 2021. I'm involved in the Louisville tech community, where I enjoy the Speed ACM, learning indie game development with Louisville Makes Games, and hacking it up in as many hackathons as I can drive to. I especially enjoyed being the technology co-captain of Redbird Robotics, where we combined the fields of software and hardware to design autonomous drones to compete in the International Aerial Robotics Competition at Georgia Tech.I'm lucky enough to have been a Brown Fellow at my university. Through this program, I was able to design my first enrichment project -a trip to Ghana to work with an NGO, Global Mamas. There, I worked on various computing projects that helped them towards their goal of bettering the lives of Ghanaian women, involving a lot of SQL and C# work. My second project focused on the art of mindfulness and how it can be practically applied to daily life and the working world across Japan in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka (reference http://www.brownfellows.org/ for more info on the Brown Fellows).I was very excited to have co-oped at the Johns Hopkins APL over the past two summers during my time at UofL as well.Due to my third summer co-op at the Johns Hopkins APL being cancelled to COVID-19, I was lucky enough to have a fantastic virtual internship with the Great American Insurance Group, working to develop Python and Java apps for their DevOps team.
