Performing responsibilities as Services Project Manager for client Ciena.

Responsible as a remote based Services Project Manager within the Global Carrier Networks (GCN) and Sprint account teams primarily assigned to submarine cable projects covering the North America and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, both direct and consortium customer facing for submarine cable routes going across the Pacific Ocean. Customer accounts engaged with include New Cross Pacific (NCP), FASTER, Japan-USA (JUS), Trans-Pacific Express (TPE), Asia-America Gateway (AAG), Telstra, Pacific Crossing (PC), Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), TATA Communications, and Google RNAL networks and related Cable Landing Stations and Network Operations Centers (NOC). During the Sprint Network Vision implementations starting in late 2011, was assigned as the Project Manager for the initial implementations including multiple FIT routes, Midwest, Southeast, and US Eastern seaboard routes, shared tenant/carrier hotel locations, lab installations, de-installations, and relocations that encompassed nearly 600 sites. Also performed project management activities for other GCN customers to include Digital Realty and CyrusOne. Project scope includes Greenfield, channel adds, retrofits, software upgrades, migrations, DCN reconfigurations, One Control installs and upgrades, and OEM equipment. Equipment types were primarily focused on the OME 6500-product line and Submarine Line Terminating Equipment (SLTE).

Performing duties as a Network Technician within the Milwaukee metro area on the Cell Tower Back Haul project supporting Carrier Operations. Responsibilities include maintenance, provisioning, and installation of Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-320, TSS-100 and TSS-5 transport and Ethernet equipment. Also includes Cisco 2950 switches, ADVA NID's, and DC power distribution.

Performing activity for client Time Warner Cable on their Carrier Backhaul project in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Performing contract assignments for client Nortel Networks within the western region optical account team. Responsibilities include installation and commissioning activities for Nortel Networks optical product lines to include the OM3500, OME6500, CPL, and OM5200. Also tasked with coaching and mentoring other contract employees and network specialists on the clients administrative and quality product requirements.

Served as the primary interface with customer engineering and management for Bell, Independent and Competitive Local Exchange, and Cable companies. Also acted as primary operations interface within Nortel Networks internal organizations including sales, engineering, project management, customer service, technical support, and managed partner services. Monitored and controlled the coordination, planning, and execution of Carrier VoIP, optical, and digital switching projects in a multi-state area of responsibility. Projects included: initial central office installations; extensions; conversions; collapses; warranty, and value added services. Lead resource planning, staffing, and proper utilization of skilled technical resources. Coached, developed, and mentored managers and field personnel on administrative and technical skills.

Performed warehouse and general labor work for a custom plastics extrusion company. Duties involved inventory control of virgin and recycled plastic material and the preparation of final product for shipment to customers.

Maintained technical support of voice communications assets. Duties involved the troubleshooting and repair of equipment at field sites, naval ships, and rear echelon maintenance facilities. Was also responsible for monitoring and coordinating maintenance, supervise other technicians, and maintain maintenance management records. Was assigned the 2811 MOS and was honorable discharged at the rank of Sergeant after 6 years of active duty.
