Business advisory and good governance are my passion. For me it’s about working with organisations to develop and then execute a sustainable long term strategy; one that drives profitability and growth, whilst ensuring the organisation and brand remain protected. The key to achieving this relies on the successful alignment of business strategy and governance, which often requires helping organisations introduce the infrastructure necessary to drive performance at a board and management level. During the course of my professional career I have had the opportunity to work with a range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations, including listed companies. This has led me to accept several board and advisory board appointments. As a nominated member of the External Reporting Advisory Panel (XRAP) I am committed to championing the pursuit of fit-for-purpose financial reporting standards for all stakeholders, including clients. My years of experience also means that I am regularly called on by the Courts and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand to be an ‘expert witness’, which involves preparing expert financial evidence in the areas of relationship property disputes, valuations and other financial investigations. My areas of expertise include: strategic planning, SME governance, business structuring, succession planning, mergers and acquisition, company valuations, transactional due diligence, transactional negotiation, cash flow improvement.
