Security & Safety Partner
CurrentFormerly known as the Site Security Lead, I assumed the responsibilities of the company's site safety program and was promoted to the Security and Safety Partner position. My duties include, but are not limited to:- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire and other emergency first responder agencies as well as internal and external/security and asset protection teams. - Partner with internal and external leadership on multiple levels to ensure security and safety procedures and policies are adhered to and coordinate with site leadership to conduct required training and emergency drills.- Recruit and manage the site's safety committee and first responders.- Conduct onsite training and certifications for safety personnel.- Certified PIT Trainer: Train and certify PIT operators.- Maintain and audit training records.- Conduct investigations pertaining to safety, security, asset protection, and HR related incidences on the manufacturing, distribution, and corporate levels.- Ensure accurate and secured record keeping for incident reports and investigations. - Conduct new hire security briefings and orientations for new employees for the assembly and distribution center, Home Delivery department, and for security personnel.- Train security personnel on risk/threat prevention, detection, analysis/assessment and de-escalation tactics to prevent and manage workplace violence as well as conduct emergency drills to ensure personnel readiness.- Ensure security personnel maintain active clearances and credentials.- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual safety and security 5S audits for continuous improvement to personnel and building safety and security.- Create security profiles and records for employees.- Issue and document security badges to employees, contractors, and visitors and maintain a log of issued badges.- Conduct inventory and process audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
