My few years at Auto Europe were fun and rewarding. I was able to bring enterprise practices and technology to the SMB space.Some of the projects were:Migrating Exchange to a hosted providerArchitected and implemented VMware View with Unidesk for a virtual desktop solution for 500 users across the globe.Chose Wyse P25 zero clients as the client of choice. Over 75% of PC's were converted to zero clients.Architected a hybrid cloud hosted datacenter design with Windstream in Andover MA that will be the primary datacenter when the migration is completed. The move to a VDI technology is what allows our datacenter to be completely offsite.Implementation of Nutanix as our platform choice for Virtual Desktops and our future server platform as budget allows.Virtualized computing instances have increased from 100 to over 800 (desktops included) during my time there.

Hannaford Brothers Company 1997-2012Large Project Technical Lead 2011- 2012Responsible for assuring the proper design and deployment of 3 essential projects for Delhaize America IT. This role was designed to assure that the 3 projects that had previously failed at the cost of millions of wasted dollars were completed in the 2012 calendar year. These projects were the migration of 65,000+ active directory users from 4 different forests to a single global forest. This was closely followed by a migration from Lotus Notes and Exchange 2003 to a new Exchange 2010 environment. These were both completed in time and on budget after 6 years of failed attempts by others. When I left I was working on a network segmentation project for compliance concerns.Senior Systems Engineer 2007-2011Senior technical leader for the Wintel systems team in Delhaize America. (Hannaford wasacquired by Delhaize.) The team consists of 6 members responsible for 2000+ Windows servers and 65000+ users in a corporate and distributed retail environment. I was responsible for setting technical direction and solutions in a complex enterprise environment. We supported many systems including Vmware, Citrix, Active Directory, Windows Security, XIV SAN storage and Netapp Filers. I also acted as a final level of support for the team.Systems Services Specialist 1999-2007Responsible for implementing and maintaining all Windows servers in the Hannaford Corporateand retail environment. Third level support for all Windows OS issues in the environment.
