Aaron M. Moore currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW), a regional water utility, which serves 1.8 million customers in Baltimore City and the five surrounding counties, and provides solid waste services for 180,000 households weekly. He previously held this role from December 2021 to February 2023.Between his tenures at DPW, Aaron demonstrated his leadership as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO) for a unit of local government in southeast Texas, directing over 200 employees across various functions during a newly elected official's first year in office. Prior to serving as CFO, Aaron played pivotal roles in Baltimore as Deputy Director in the Mayor’s Office, overseeing the city’s $641M American Rescue Plan Act funds, and as Assistant Budget Director, leading a dynamic team of analysts to centrally manage the city’s $3.8 billion budget.Previous to his service at the City of Baltimore, Aaron made significant contributions to distinguished national nonprofit and government entities, including Johns Hopkins University, the Democratic National Committee, and the United States Congress in the Office of Representative Elijah E. Cummings.Aaron graduated cum laude from Villanova University where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He actively participates in the Government Finance Officers Association and sits on the Advisory Council for The Albert LePage Center for History in the Public Interest.
