As an Application Engineer, cooperate with DSP team, help customer to integrate far-field voice DSP into their product.1 During concept study, evaluate the chipset selection to meet the customer product definition. 2 During detailed design, review customer's 3D mechanical design, output acoustic review report to customer.3 When mockup or tooling sample ready, help customer to test the acoustic component performance, including mic/speaker frequency response, THD and acoustic coupling between mic and speaker, check the linear AEC performance to make sure the mechanical design meet the chipset design requirement.4 During trail production, help to test the DUT performance based on specific requirement ( e.g. Skype VOIP standard and Amazon AVS/AQT standard) 5 Tune and optimize the noise reduction and AEC performance to adapt for the ASR engine and VOIP performance, iterate and output the tuned firmware to customer.

1 Choosing acoustics component based on acoustics design target, Cooperate with mechanical and hardware engineers to define acoustics component layout.2 Co-work with mechanical to do acoustics chamber design. 3 Doing acoustic performance verification and parameter tuning. Take response of acoustic related issues and trouble shooting with the help of software/hardware/mechanical engineer and component venders.4 Evaluate production line automatic audio/acoustic test feasibility and solution. Cooperate with automatic MP test vendor to do setup and define test requirement.

Foxconn CMCC acoustics Lab testing and report review Responsibilities:1 Using B&K 3560C and PULS to do SPL and sound power testing.2 Using Head-acoustics SQLab to do sound quality evaluation.3 Using Matlab tool integrate the customer’s own algorithm, auto control and post-process the test data acquired by B&K test system for MacBook low noise testing.4 Using Labview, auto control the equipment and record data ( e.g. auto-control Agilent power supply and record the current data)
