Main Responsabilities:•Handle pre and post reservation inquiries by phone, e-mail and fax;•Modify, change and/or cancel existing reservations;•Outbound calls to hotels/guests to arrangement special requests;•Liaison between guest and hotel to resolve complaints;•Support relationships with hotels by providing high levels of customer service and account management support.

Dealing with telephone enquiries and complaints.o Arranging special functions to take place in the restaurant.o Aiding in the organisation of rotas and shifts.

o Initial assessment of students.o Generating documents (e.g. PowerPoint presentations) to aid in students’ specific learning needs whilst creating a more interactive learning experience.o Proof-reading and translation of academic articles into Spanish for publication in periodicals overseas.• In my work as a one-to-one teacher I have instructed my students in methods of translation and language learning techniques to support their academic studies. My students have had varying levels of competency ranging from GCSE to university standard. I assisted one of my university students in the translation of two articles which he hoped to have published in a Chilean literary periodical. This job requires an ability to constantly reanalyse concepts and explain them according to different perceptions. I often need to take the initiative in developing interactive, innovative and entertaining ways of communicating ideas.

o Testing of games and proofreading of game scripts in order to correct errors.o Translation of game scripts into Spanish.o Maintaining detailed report files of the merchandise test results in order to convey clear points of concern to my supervisor.• My translation and IT skills led me to this position, and my time management and productivity have been greatly developed because projects vary in complexity and urgency.Translation is the main facet of my work, in which I handle extremely idiomatic and creative texts that require a considerable amount of mental agility. The aim of my testing work is to produce a perfected version of the merchandise with transparent reports that clearly definethe nature of the corrections made. This calls for diligence and focus on the task at hand.

o Supervising day trips to the National Park La Caldera de Taburiente, and varies other sites of local interest.o Translation of hotel guidelines and information into English and acting as an interpreter between foreign guests and other members of staff and local businesses (e.g. vehicle hire, concert tickets, etc.)o Managing cultural activities in and around the hotel.

o Leading classes of ten to fifteen students in matters of grammar and language use but also culture and history.o Organising day trips around the island of Tenerife with the aim of applying language learning techniques and cultural knowledge “in the field” to maximise students’benefit from an immersive environment.o Dealing with syllabus modifications through staff meetings and individual planning in order to ensure the correct focus in every class.

o Preparation of festival information, from design through to publication and distribution.o Maintaining order at film screenings to ensure the smooth running of the event, making sure everything was in place correctly and punctually so as to promote aprofessional image of the organisational team.Same duties during November 2002 and 2003.
