I wake up in the morning thinking about how we work, the right questions to ask, how to constantly improve what is in motion. I believe character is revealed, and I strive to bring out the character of those around me. In my work with Blood:Water, my passion keeps growing for impact, not just outputs. We contribute to impact, but we aren't the focus of it or even the recipients...I don't want a lot of outputs that are lame - I want the outputs required to bring about the most impact.

This role is also responsible for recruiting, hiring, equipping, training, coaching, assessing and supervising Development staff.The Director of Development ensures that philanthropy and fund development are carried out in alignment with Blood:Water’s values, mission, vision and plans. This requires regular collaboration with Communications to ensure messaging is on-brand and consistent utilizing marketing and communications in support of the development plan. This also requires regular collaboration with the Programs team to ensure fundraising plans and activities continuously align with programmatic goals and workflows.
