I have done research and development at SES since I started as an intern in April of 2010. I do primary design work solving energy balances and sizing equipment. I have worked with engineers at cement and power plants to coordinate setup and field testing of our functional prototype systems. I have spent thousands of hours directly testing these systems.

I performed research and calculations for materials in specific endothermic processes and reported findings to a supervising professor. During the summer I worked part-time testing and modifying a new apparatus for better measuring and quantifying these properties.

I was part of a team of student engineers that was tasked with designing an innovative process for manufacturing Boeing 777 curtain headers. We designed, tested, and demonstrated our process and prototype tool to a representative from Boeing.

I collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of student engineers to design tooling for oilfield drilling which opened new markets and reduced manufacturing costs. I created functional prototypes and documented design progress to representatives from Baker Hughes Inc. and to capstone project coaches.

I taught Spanish daily to a group of 12 individuals, with a new group every two months. I also provided assistance and interpretation for visiting directors from over 20 different countries each June during training conferences.
