I am an economic development enthusiast pursuing an honors degree in Economics and Mathematics at Swarthmore College. My academic journey is fueled by a passion for understanding and fostering growth, justice, and inclusion in the global south. Through a comprehensive range of courses in economics, mathematics, and computer science, I have built a robust foundation for the empirical analysis of public policies and their impacts. Beyond my academic pursuits, I am deeply committed to promoting accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and solidarity within the Swarthmore community. In my current research, I focus on empirically analyzing the impact of three key determinants of economic growth in municipalities of Nepal: institutional capacity, educational outcomes, and political leadership, covering the period from 2017 to 2021. My preliminary findings have led me to evaluate the significance of the intermediate tier between local governments, exploring how this level can effectively address common challenges and opportunities and propel economic growth that may be unserved if left solely to either local or central level.
