Genus ASIC synthesis software design and development. Specializing in netlist optimization for area, timing and power. Parallelized synthesis area optimizations for 10X improvement in runtime. This was achieved without degradation in timing of design suite.Improved buffer tree insertion strategy for DRC fixing. Implemented netlist structural checks to avert non-equivalence from harmless netlist optimization.Developed flow for remapping of avoided gates in a netlist.

FPGA synthesis software design and developmentFPGA flop-mapping and flop transformations , faster arithmetic / logical operator implementations.FPGA device’s library characterization and model development owner. Developed flows for automated FPGA synthesis tool benchmarking. Developed web and Tk GUI based applications for analysis/viewing of benchmarking results.

Developed an in-house automatic IP analysis and checking tool for linting, structural checks, DFT, view completeness / validity etc checking.Vendor management , managing requirements and evaluating 3rd party EDA tools

Worked on development of an inhouse distributed computing based, ASIC standard cell characterization tool. Automated generation and validation of various ASIC standard cell models / views.Developed Synopsys library parser to generate technology library input for synthesis tool.
