Aqeel Asim is vice president of cloud services at InterCloud systems (Nasdaq: ICLD). His responsibilities include leading the engineering and product strategy for SDN / NFV at Intercloud. The service model he created is around open stack and juniper contrail. In addition, his role is to define and implement the product and technology road map, as well as to work with key vendors to evaluate future solutions and technologies.Mr Asim has extensive experience related to networking and cloud technologies in both macro IT sectors such as, Enterprise and Service Provider. Aqeel became part of Intercloud systems through the acquisition of RentVM, where he was one of the co-founders. Prior to RentVM he has worked in senior management positions at Telx and RCN/Sidera. He has also held positions as network architect (consultant) at Morgan Stanley, IBM, Cisco and AT&T. Mr. Asim holds a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree from GIKI Institute of Technology and has achieved industry’s top networking related certifications.

Worked as Senior Design Engineer for the ECN Telco services team. Designed and implemented B2B networks for Morgan Stanley’s Business Units.

Worked at Cisco Security Solutions as customer support Engineer. Provided support on Cisco Security products including PIX, IDS and VPNs.
