Conduct product development electrical and environmental testing in accordance with Ford ELCOMP, GMW3172, Renault / Nissan and ISO Specifications on automotive electronic modules. Including phases of engineering development, design verification, product validation, plant support and failure analysis. Conduct EMC testing in accordance with CISPR 25, ISO, GMW3097 and Ford CS-2009 specifications utilizing EM Test, Rohde & Schwarz EMC32 software, ETS-Lindgren antennas, Amplifier Research amplifiers, Hewlett Packard & Agilent test instruments and test software.Equipment used for testing includes ALSE chamber, spectrum analyzers, test receivers, pre-amplifiers, RF power meters, digitizing oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, arbitrary waveform generators, DMM, LCR meters, LabView and assorted National Instruments SCXI chassis measurement cards.PCB thermal analysis testing conducted with FLIR camera, thermocouples and thermal chamber for worst case analysis.Build, troubleshoot and repair functional testers, durability testers, EMC testers, desktop simulators, development samples and field returns to the component level.Utilize in house machine shop to fabricate custom break out boxes, bed of nails programmers and desktop simulators.Provide training, leadership and direction to other technicians.Testing and support for the development of electronic fuel pump, all wheel drive, vacuum pump, memory seat, heated seat and chassis control modules.
