About MeAs the Founder and CEO of Waste2Light Ltd, I am dedicated to revolutionizing renewable energy in Nigeria by designing and building wind and hydro turbines from scratch. My journey into this field began at age 13, when I crafted my own LED lamp from discarded batteries and torch lights using bamboo, driven by the challenges of limited electricity access in my community.With a strong foundation in leadership, 3D modeling, printing, and communication, I have successfully developed 7 wind and hydro turbine prototypes and have been honored with multiple awards for my innovative work. These include the Young Innovative Builder Award by NCC, the 2nd Star Prize Grant at the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, and recognition as one of the 72 innovators in Nigeria to receive Prototype funding from Projecti2m, a UKAid initiative.I have also had the privilege of training and inspiring over 40 youths and FUTMINNA students, and represented my school at the 8th Science, Technology, and Innovation Expo in Abuja, where we secured 2nd place in the tertiary institutions category. Additionally, being among the top 100 startups in Nigeria for the TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge underscores my commitment to advancing clean energy solutions.My career goal is to scale Waste2Light Ltd to power over 5 million people, empower communities, and establish ourselves as a global leader in renewable energy.
