Project: design and develop a cloud based framework for training, evaluating, and tracking results for machine learning/AI models.• Implemented as a RESTful web service (Java), utilized cloud database connections (DB2), and featured a versatile user interface for interaction and data visualization (HTML/JavaScript/D3). Cloud hosted for cross-site collaboration.• Manages training/testing data, performs automated k-fold cross-validation and blind testing, archives results and model parameters automatically, and generates bench-marking metrics and visualizations. Used as the primary tool for the systematic evaluation of machine learning/AI models.

- Developed a dynamic process simulation for Alkylation technology to model plant operations and act as an operator training simulator. Product sold to major oil and gas firms. Work process combines both chemical engineering and object oriented programming (Java).- Developed and implemented a new data analysis tool to mine/organize 8 - 10 years of research trial data. Data used to identify correlations between product properties and octane rating (Python).- Designed a high capacity Alkylation unit for a large Chinese petrochemical company. Created and presented process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and other design deliverables. Identified and implemented work automation improvements to reduce project schedule.

Selected as an assistant in the research in the field of block co-polymer lithography and its application in the production of microprocessors and development of new processes for creating smaller, more detailed processors. Selected as a process/chemical engineering co-op in the Major Projects group at BP's Toledo refinery. Challenged to support both the development and implementation of major capital projects, as well as the refinery's technical (process engineering) group. -Obtained/analyzed field data to assist process studies in capital projects. Work process involved working along side refinery operators and determining ideal sites for process data collection -Performed continuous monitoring of refinery slop system. Incorporated data into process troubleshooting efforts and alerted operations to potential safety concerns. -Designed and executed bench-top simulation to validate potential process upgrade technology related to slop containment. Co-ordinated in-field implementation of technology with an potential savings of over $2 million per year. -Designed and executed process tests on flare system. Also designed rate test for the benzene stripper unit to be executed in the 2015 fiscal year.

Challenged to manage and assist in technology development projects in the area of corrosion detection and fouling sciences:-Developed and implemented a process for testing and validation of new corrosion sensor technology. Challenged to manage and assist OMD, as well as refinery wide, processes and projects:-Determined safe and reliable operating procedures for the operation of storage tanks in the oil movements division. Established safe alarm parameters for overfill height as well as safe fill rates to minimize risk of static discharge.-Analyzed diluent production process. Drafted a training and reference tool for line transfers during diluent production.-Inspected refinery units to assess design, construction, and integrity of process equipment. Explored interior of reactors, separation equipment, and crude tanks to gain knowledge of equipment design-Analyzed industry wide safety events. Presented results and potential industry wide improvements discovered during analysis.
