LINK is an AIGA San Diego program that connects teens in need with artists and creative professionals, encouraging expression, creativity and self-esteem through innovative workshops and educational scholarships. Every year, students are recruited who will benefit from the artistic, motivational, and financial assistance to establish career and life goals.

Managed and developed a creative/production staff of five designers for in-house department that produced artwork for a large print shop, screen-printing department, bindery, and manufacturing facility. Directed photoshoots and color proofs, signed off on all color draw-downs, signature orientation, bindery, and final press check locally and off site. Designed and presented new marketing vehicles to large and small scale enterprises. • Designed architectural books, boxes, and retail displays for commercial and residential client base. Results: Flexible sample book template designs created for books, boards, and boxes. Most clients produced 30+ products using template over several years. Average order cost upwards of a couple hundred thousand dollars. Most included multiple printed or tipped in photographs, built in marketing materials, specifications and client’s products. • Expanded creative department from a small department to a large collaborative team across multiple departments. Results: Collaborating staff exceeded the expectations of the manufacturing needs as well as the client’s requirements. Expanded the prepress department, developed a color proofing and plating system, and assisted in the installation and fingerprinting a 40 inch, five color press with an in-line aqueous coater.
