Oversee the day-to-day progress of developmental, operational, and functional aspects of all civil engineering sections, colleges, institutions, and centers under the Authority's jurisdiction.Ensure cost-effectiveness in expenditure, sound administrative practices, financial integrity, and operational efficiency across all civil engineering projects and activities.Conduct site inspections to assess project feasibility, suitability of locations, compliance with approved plans, budget adequacy, and adherence to project timelines outlined in the respective (PC-I).Monitor the quality of construction materials used in projects, ensuring compliance with specified standards from initial stages through project completion.Provide recommendations for addressing any deficiencies, shortcomings, or bottlenecks in project formulation and management, institutional functioning, and performance of Authority personnel.Conduct post-project evaluations and annual institutional performance assessments to gauge achievement of objectives and targets, supported by objective analysis.Prepare Project Completion Reports (PC-V) for completed projects and development schemes within two to five years of completion, submitting reports to the Authority's Board as required.Periodically assess the performance of teaching staff within Authority-affiliated institutions, implementing a system of rewards and consequences to regulate overall efficiency and ensure accountability.Compile and present periodic functional audit reports to the Managing Director, along with annual reports to the Board, detailing the performance of Authority institutions and offices in accordance with civil engineering standards and practices.
