The focus of the role was to assist the team to optimise the current and future gas portfolio of Genesis Energy. - Liaise with Operations, Trading, Retail and Production regarding forward planning of gas requirements and the nomination process to meet our contract requirements.- Assist the team to optimise the commercial performance of the gas portfolio across gas supply costs, transmission costs, overrun charges, mismatch and balancing costs.- Operating the related toolset and using the results to forecast the retail gas consumption.- Produce the weekly retail gas nominations including: the necessary analysis; liaison with major industrials; monitoring and considering variations from budget; and, comparison of nominations to actual sales.- Ensure gas and transmission notification schedules are produced and sent to suppliers as required.- Reconcile daily gas notifications and actual usage and manage imbalances within allowed limits.- Work with the Fuels Manager to: * Ensure that fuel supplies are delivered to specification and as per contracted delivery schedules. * Liaise with Production on issues of fuel management with regards to plant running and life implications.- Ensure monthly invoices are correct against contract requirements and actual delivered quantities.- Manage the process of compiling the annual Fuel Development Business Plan.- Provide advice and analysis regarding business information and planning.- Compile status reports covering such things as, budget, tactical plan progress and performance, significant achievements and variations to the studies as per the annual business plan objectives.- Prepare and manage the monthly reports with analyses of and commentary on performance.- Regularly review the accuracy and appropriateness of information contained in all sections of the business reports.
